This is a very cool vintage Sterling Silver hinged bamboo bangle from the 1970s.  In such a classic design and with a good weight and its original safety chain, original bangles like these are becoming increasingly hard to find. 

Crafted in a wonderful solid silver, this bamboo style gold bangle will fit anyone with a 6-7.5 inch wrist. (My wrist is a 6 inch wrist, and you can see that the bangle has loots of room to move)  It measures 9mm width all the way round, and it weighs a healthy and comfortable, 13.6g.   It comes with its original safety chain, and opens and closes securely.   It is fully hallmarked on its inside for Sterling Silver, Birmingham and the date 1964.

It remains in excellent, vintage condition.  There is a personalised engraving on the inside of the bangle, but this could be polished out by your jeweller.  It has been lightly cleaned and is ready to wear.
